Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS 2009. Post release From October 29 till November 1, 2009 the Crocus Expo exhibition centre hosted the 11th trade fair Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS 2009 organized by the International Exhibition Company MVK. The show demonstrated consumables and technologies for production of glulam and LVL houses, carcass and panel framed technologies of wooden-house building, rounded log and felling.  The exhibition salons presented: fireplaces and stoves, windows and doors, natural stone and ceramics. As for special expositions, the show introduced: engineering systems in the suburban construction, technology of autonomous and alternative energy supply. All in all, the exhibition drew 192 exhibitor companies, and its total area exceeded 8, 000 sq.m.  It was pleasant that apart from the exhibition “veterans” among which there were such companies as Fraid, Luxury Woodkraft, State House, Russky Zapad, Narhozstroy, LDK Dom, Good Wood, Vyatsky Dom, Bilar, Drevstroydom, there were the show newcomers: Maki TVR, Eurodom, Fundex, Sila, Metal Profile, Finbrus, Aven-M, Yarwood, etc. 
One of the key events of the exhibition Wooden House Building/Holzhaus was the XIV conference organized by the Association of Wooden House Building under support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation: “Wooden house building as the factor of success in new economy” which core subject was implementation of the unitary standard of wooden house building which turned out to be the milestone in the industry development.  The panel session on wood in modern construction organized by MVK and RADeKK Association turned to be a significant platform for discussion of the burning industry problems. The business programme was supplemented by the conference on the low-rise and cottage construction with application of the modern building and finishing materials. Organizer: TsNTI Kompozit. A novelty of the exhibition was an architecture contest which demonstrated the abilities of professional and novice architects. As part of the exhibition NVTs Geosoft initiated the Wooden Projects contest. The winners were called out on November 1 during the official awarding ceremony.
