See you again at the Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS exhibition in autumn

The International specialized exhibition Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS' spring 2009 closed on March 22 at the Crocus Expo Exhibition Centre, Moscow.

The exhibition is organized by MVK International Exhibition Company. Among the forum’s partners are: Association of Wooden House Building (St. Petersburg), Russian Association of Manufacturers and Consumers of Glulam Structures (RADeKK).

This spring the exhibition Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS opened its doors to the exhibitors and guests of the show for the tenth time. It provided maximum opportunity for examination of advanced construction technologies from designing (project preparation) to erection of wooden country houses. The visitors were able to meet the manufacturers of rounded log cottages, country houses from glued laminated lumber, wooden carcass houses and garden cottages, and wood frame houses.

As always, the exhibition evoked keen interest of visitors. Wooden houses are ecologically friendly and hygienic. Besides, wood emits a peculiar kind of energy which exercises a salutary influence over a human organism. The fact that Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS is held biannually (November and March) proves the show is in demand. The number of visitors was stable high: 18, 000 people. The exhibition welcomed 170 companies from Russia, Germany, Canada, Finland, Portugal, Lithuania and Latvia. Among the exhibitors were building companies, manufacturers and suppliers of woodworking equipment, power engineering companies, producers of finishing material, stoves and fireplaces.

The exhibition is a family-attractive show where everyone tries to find something interesting and exciting. At one of the stands a live piano music was playing, and little visitors were involved in some interesting activity in a child care centre while their parents were getting free expert consultations. Male visitors were able to study various woodworking and forging instruments. Ladies were more interested in architectural projects of houses and other buildings, they were also able to get free consultations and purchase interesting and useful magazines on landscape design. The show served as a platform for high-quality dwelling, as well as fruitful business environment for exchange of experience outlining the current state of the market and woodworking industry development. The companies were actively negotiating contracts thus securing commissions for the coming year. A lot of companies have confirmed their participation in the autumn exhibition.

The next, 11th International specialized exhibition Wooden House Building/HOLZHAUS will be held from October 29 till November 1, 2009.
